35mm Film and Digital Direct Flash Photography Bridal Portraits at The Robey | Chicago, IL

Taylor and Michael eloped in Las Vegas just days before they came back home to Chicago and celebrated with all of their friends and family. 

Taylor had expressed to me how inspired she was by editorial photography and photos with direct flash and her vision immediately spoke to my soul. I met the couple at The Robey, which is a famous Chicago hotel located in the Wicker Park Neighborhood, and we began their bridals on the steps of the lobby. Employees and passerby’s were constantly congratulating Taylor and Michael and telling them how incredible they looked – which they did, obviously! We made our way up to their hotel suite and The Robey and created some more magic!

One must on Taylor’s list was an elevator photo, and we absolutely nailed it. Those images are some of my favorite from my entire 2022 wedding season. We attempted 3-4 times just because we kept perfecting it and I needed MORE, it was that good.

We each took a quick shot of tequila and stole a luggage trolley before heading over to Remedy where the main event was taking place.

Taylor + Michael were a couple of dream clients. They were so open to every creative vision I had and were total troopers with my direct flash for 4 hours straight. I photographed their evening on both digital and 35mm film and the results were better than I could have ever hoped; the perfect way to close my 2022 wedding season.
